Sometimes You Just Need a Little Color

I have a couple new ”Before and Afters” which illustrate my belief that design changes don’t always have to be big to make a dramatic difference.  In this case, adding a very little bit of color, close to the current scheme, made the rooms more cohesive.  Notice with the sconces, we actually TOOK AWAY the color.  By painting them white, they appeared less harsh.

Before of Living Room--the white walls did not properly enhance the draperies, piano and art.

Much better, more pulled together by using a pale creamy peach.

The Dining Room before did not allow the wallpaper to be noticed.

Adding a deeper tone than what is in the adjoining Living Room allows the wallpaper to shine, and enhances the beautiful wood in the furniture.
